Star Boxing has announced that heavyweight Carlos Takam (37-5-1, 28 KOs) will face Brazilian Fabio Maldonado (26-3, 25 KOs) in the co-feature of the February 28 edition of ”Rockin’ Fights” at The Paramount in Huntington, NY. Takam will make his second appearance in the United States under the Star Boxing banner and is aiming for his third straight win and a return to the world rankings, while Maldonado hopes to end a three-fight losing streak after winning his first 26 fights.
Update: Welterweight Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin (24-1, 20 KOs)) will be defending his NABA super lightweight title against Humberto “Metraletta” Martinez (33-9-2, 17 KOs) in the main event.
So sad. Takam is taking walking mummies. Danny Wilder would be more dangerous than Maldonado.
Takam has fought whoever they put in front of him, Povetkin, Parker, Joshua, Chisora, so don’t mind as much him having some easy fights. But agree this upcoming fight against Maldonado losing his last 3 fights is ridicules.
Takam’s problem is that he still represents risk and not near enough reward. Maybe a he’ll be able to make another climb and make some well deserved money.
