Carlsbad is not exactly a boxing city. That was my first thought where? in Carlsbad.
Bivol has good boxing skills and is very active as a fighter. I admire his jab and movement as a fighter. Bivol needs to control the pace from the outside and catch Canelo coming in. Canelo is a workhorse, and his granite chin can prove it. Canelo will have the speed against Bivol, but Bivol carries heavier density on his punches. Great matchup.
His chin certainly has come a long way since that early Jose Cotto fight, remember watching that and there were big wraps on him. Got wobbled bad but he took it well and got the knockout. Think that was one of his first main card fights and seems like an eternity ago. He had potential but who would have thought he would end up the biggest attraction and multi division superstar that he is today
Bivol will school Canola . The entire boxing clique around Canola is weird. He cheated before GGG, got caught and we have heard zip about VADA since. Aside from that, bivol is way better at everything. Jab, boxing ability, straight right. Canola is not really a boxer. Kahn was beating him easily. C fighters have been fighting him at even pace until they gas out . Interesting why he chose Bivol. Not a name fighter and in fact even boxing fans are like…oh yeah and Bivol too. I ask, what can Canola do? Rush him? Facts are if the lone hook from hell doesn’t happen, Canola will lose every round. I will get 90 % downvotes. Boxing is not just punching. Nuff said
