  • I’m so pumped for this fight! I’m going bold and predicting a Kovalev decision here, 115-112.

    • You’ve got to be joking, if the fight is that close who do you really think will get the decision.

      • That’s what I said. I don’t believe boxing is rigged. There are always different opinions in close fights. Like I also said “Bold Prediction”. #READ

        • Im with ya Anthony!!! Thats a good score to predict.. screw what other people say bro..

        • You don’t believe boxing is rigged???? Its only known as the most corrupt sport on the planet.

          • Then how are there any upset decisions. These judges are not getting paid off. Wrong decisions are made at times but that can happen. As someone who has refereed and judged and boxed. Including being a licensed professional judge I happen to know a little bit about it.

  • Canelo got tired of fighting Golovkin. Canelo knows Golovkin is old. Canelo figured he fought the best he could with that guy for 24 rounds. In 2 fights, he had 3 judges giving him a win, and 2 judges giving him a draw. I doubt Canelo cares how the judges go with this fight. Canelo may be able to put a good body attack on Kovalev, and Kovalev has head shot power to hurt or drop anyone. As long as it is a clean fight, I don’t care how the judges are scoring rounds. I think either guy could be dropped in the fight. Canelo is probably going to stick around at 168 if he doesn’t have a bad performance. There are good fighters at 168 for Canelo if he is tired of being at 160.

    • “Canelo got tired of fighting Golovkin. Canelo knows Golovkin is old.”

Canelo fought Golovkin BECAUSE he’s old!

He got tired of not being being able to beat him convincingly!

He NEVER gets tired of winning close fights OR winning fights he lost!

      • Juan Valdez I agree with you 100%; especially the part about Canelo fighting GGG because they felt he was old…which is why him/his team decided to wait, wait, wait…but Canelo got shocked when he found out that GGG wasn’t so old. GGG got robbed clearly in the first fight…in the second fight, GGG won but it wasn’t as clear, ie GGG was sticking Canelo with some serious jabs and one shot power punches; Canelo did land some good shots, but his flashy combinations gave the biased judges reason to score the rounds for him. Don’t get me wrong, I like Canelo…always have…but I’m not a biased fan by any means. Lastly, I, like many others feel that Canelo is fighting Kovalev because they think he is old (enough) and of course, weak to the body. If Kovalev boxes…with controlled agression and landing the occasional powershots (which could KO Canelo, he can win. Otherwise, it’ll be another Caneo vs GGG I, mostly likely II.

    • If Kovalev does not get respect early in this fight, Alvarez will chop him down…… Kovalev must keep him honest on the outside.

  • Canelo really bulked up. No way he passes VADA. Kovalev never was tested against elite fighters. Shame Stevenson and Kovalev never fought 4-5 years ago. Probably Canelo by UD either by hook to the body or by crook. Kovalev will test Canelo’s chin but probably not get the KO.

    • Canelo looks bulked up because he is juiced up to his eye balls for years already. Since he got caught twice so far, he got more careful.

The reality is that there is an entire industry profiting from his fights, and that’s why the show has to continue. One day, Canelo will have to pay for what he is doing. In his mind, he probably doesn’t care at all now because he knows he can buy his way out of almost anything.

But this is not the kind of stuff fans want to hear, so let’s just leave it at “Canelo looks bulked up”.

      • His fans don’t care either, just wear a sombrero and fly the eagle eating the serpent flag!

Cheating and corruption are part of those symbols and culture. So cheat or win fairly, his countrymen don’t care!

    • He looks bulked because he is closer to his walk around weight and put on muscle. Your used to seeing him cut weight 15lbs.

  • Kovalev usually has more of a rough edge before his fights. This time he looks like he’s just happy to be there.

    • Kovalev has serious debts (earlier this year, he got sued over $8 million for breaking a woman’s nose), so naturally, he is extremely careful to be on good terms with Canelo. This fight pays better than the 5-10 next best fights for Kovalev. Its not surprising that he is very happy at the moment and probably couldn’t care less whether its a W or L at the end. Any controversy would be fantastic for him because then he could ask for a rematch and get paid well again. Win or lose, these are Kovalev’s biggest pay days of his life.

  • What I find particularly humorous is that this staged fight is dealt with like a championship fight. The real champion in this division is Beterbiev, who would beat both, Kova as well as Canelo by KO within 6 rounds. Gvozdyk and Bivol would need 8 rounds to beat these two guys.

This fight is 100% hype, no substance.

    • Beterbiev just became the number 1 in the division. It’s still a world title. Kovalev was considered the best, lost to Ward and avenged his other loss. You could say that one of these new champions have less claim for not beating the guy(Kovalev). Ward left and still Kovalev has a title. So yes this fight does mean something.

  • Ok, so the fight is fixed and Canelo cant lose.. Canelo is a cherry picker..Canelo is juiced up, Kov is old and done. Alot of u talk so much crap bout this fight BUT i bet all of u will be watching it soooo damn close . U all know sooooomuch about Canelo i dont know whether to call u haters or his BIGGEST fan lmao

    • You are sooo right man. You see the same haters commenting on anything that has to do about Canelo. It never fails the same guys crying and bitching like little girls but they will be the watching for sure. Oh and yeah these haters are the ones that make Canelo even more famous because they can’t keep Canelos name out of their mouth or mind!! Fucken pathetic! HAHA!

      • I wont watch it at all til it’s over. Why? DAZN will not make a dime off me. In this digital day and age, everything gets uploaded for free……..Just like movies! Why waste money at the theater when someone will upload it soon after it comes out. I enjoyed HBO and Showtime back in the heyday when they reigned superior on showing fights. Yes, I paid for the channels and enjoyed their other content as well. Once the fights shifted to the outer belts of the digital communication world (ie, DAZN, ESPN+, etc.), time to shut off HBO/Showtime and save cash for other entertainment purposes. I want to thank other fans in boxing who upload fights for folks like me. I am not tight with my money. I am frustrated in how everyone and their mother in promoting has gotten greedy on making a dime in fights and allowed networks to be cash cows at every given drop of a hat.

        • It doesn’t matter if you pay to watch Canelos fights you are still watching his fights and you are still on here commenting about him. You haters don’t understand that every time you comment or say something about Canelo you are basically promoting for him and making him more famous. You guys are so stupid you don’t realize you are Canelos biggest supporters! HAHA!
Oh and the fact that you have to state the fact that you aren’t tight with your money makes it obvious that your a broke ass chump!

  • Hello guy’s can someone actually give me one decent fighter Canelo fought in his prime ?! I give you one : Floyd !! And we all know the outcome of this fight ! I watched Canelo for the first time against Cotto’s brother and i was immediatly a fan; but then it was only deception.. washed up Legends or second tier fighters : he’s management and mentality are weak.. Waste of talent i can’t stand him anymore ; the same for Oscar who i was a big fan.. Fuck To both..

    • Do you know how hard it is to fight every fighter in their prime? Sorry he didn’t fight Mosely when he was 9. Really like 3-4 fighters Canelo can fight right now in their prime that aren’t yet considered that A+ fighter. Hate in him for losing to Money May. That’s hilarious. The fact he faced Lara(one of the most avoided fighters) and Floyd shows he doesn’t cherry pick. Also GGG, people attack him for waiting on that fight but forget that he needed time to build up to a true 160 lb fighter. Everyone who moved up takes their time moving up.

  • Canelo bites off more than he can chew. Krusher by late rounds TKO or UD. Too big, too powerful. Ref. Spence vs M.Garcia. Canelo’s game but gonna be overwhelmed. Cheers!

  • IMPROV…..
    CANELO: Will you lay down?
    KOVALEV: MAYBE, How much?
    CANELO: ALOT!
    KOVALEV:OK!
