  • Good for him. He’s 35, former champion, has a name and he’s exciting. Why not try to make another run and cruiserweight is heating up, probably some pretty good money to be made.

    • He’s out of gas Lucie.. big crude puncher with a limited tank and bad balance.. Joe should keep it to local shows and limited opposition. He deserves respect and did very well for what and who he is, but the world class scene for him is finito.

      • You know if he wins a couple of fights like this (or maybe even just this one), someone will come calling. I agree with you, he probably won’t do very well when it happens, but I expect him to shoot his shot and do his best. No reason to fight journeymen for the next two or three years and call it day. If he’s going that route he should just quit now, imo.

  • Hopefully after a couple of wins against lesser opponents he can come to England to fight Chris billiam smith who is also on the rebuild . Be a good scrap that one

  • – I like Joe Smith, Jr.
    – Loved when he knocked Hopkins out of the ring in 2016.
    – Don’t think I’ll be driving 3 hours each way to Long Island, NY.
    – I’ll watch on the Fire Stick……….

  • I always liked Joe Smith and pulled for him in every fight. That said, he must be broke. I hope not, but that’s the reason for most comebacks.
