  • I guess Easter will be spent in Jail next year!…I always thought Easter was kind of a cool cat, but PUNCHING OUT A FEMALE WORKER at a STRIP CLUB in NORTH TOLEDO is a scumbag trifecta!

  • Pleading not guilty means it’s going to trial. Will be interesting how all this unfolds. The charge is simple assault based on Ohio law which is a first-degree misdemeanor.

    • knocking a woman out cold and chipping her tooth is considered simple assault in Ohio?…Of course, we don’t know the circumstances of the alleged crime, or if it even happened at all. If the crime did occur, which I suspect it did in some capacity, would there be an enhancement to the charge because Easter is a professional boxer?

      • Ohio ain’t no joke. Neither is that strip club.

What a shame too because Easter is a really nice dude. I saw him at a public library reading stories to kids a few years back.

        • I’ve only heard him in interviews, but he does seem like a cool dude. I would like to think he’s not an out of control A-hole and this will work out for him. Being a local celeb, especially in a smaller town, one tends to attract a lot of unwanted attention. I can’t begin to speculate what happened, because I have absolutely no idea, but knocking a woman unconscience will never go over well; in any state!

      • There COULD be harsher sentencing because of it. You should never hit someone as a professional combat athlete unless you are being physically attacked by someone who can really hurt you. Your hands are not considered “registered weapons” as some think. However, a jury or judge may take this into consideration during a criminal or civil trial, especially in a civil case where the burden of proof isn’t as high.

Hitting a woman as a trained combat athlete is just bonkers. Any combat athlete reading this, never engage in a fight with a person (Even if they say the most insulting thing to you) unless you must to defend yourself. You have nothing to prove and you can do a lot of damage to a person, especially if they are older or fall hard. Most people are ill-equipped when it comes to hand to hand combat and often don’t even have the balance to stay standing while throwing a meaningful punch. Just walk away.

    • Well, as of now, it’s going to trial, he could enter a plea at a later date which happens often.

    • No that’s not what it means dummy. Everyone pleads NG at their first hearing

  • What are you doing man?? As a trained fighter, you should avoid street fights at all costs (I don’t care what a person says to you). You should never hit another person unless physically defending yourself. People will use that against you all the time. Hitting a woman when you’re a trained fighter is just insanity.

  • Sorry to hear this, I got the impression that Easter was a descent man, he took his loss to Mikey Garcia well. Hope he’s not drugging, hanging in strip clubs is something young dudes do but sounds like he’s in with the wrong crowd and making bad choices.
