  • Chavez Sr. looks in better shape and is even older! I figure they would have to cater to Chavez Jr. and put him fighting a tomato can on the undercard. Good grief!

  • Camacho Jr could have been taken more seriously if he had been more serious in the sport of boxing. But ever since 2001 when he went to NY to fight Jesse James Leia and then quit on a scratch on his eye, he has never been the same fighter ever since…

    • Arturo, just for the record, Camacho Jr.’s corner advised him not to answer the bell because he was leading on all three judges’ cards. I do agree that Camacho Jr. didn’t have the talent of his father but few did.

  • Sooner or later, someone will get permanently damaged in one of these matches, i for one will shed no tears. This crap is messing the sport up. Guys that had their day need to find a chair and sit down. Stop trying to take the spotlight from the young guys. No wonder the sport is dying.

    • Not likely anybody gets hurt in these staged exhibitions other than the ones who pay for them.

    • yes they need to let go but they are doing “true exhibitions” would you rather see those fake ass youtubers cash in on the sport we love?

    • IF the sport is “dying” it’s only because of the selfishness of promoters and fighters who ONLY do if for money and not for the sport. These exhibitions BRING fans back and allows them to reconnect with boxing . Stop crying and go watch a soccer game.

  • Absolutely no doubt in my mind this is not Chavez’ last fight.

If enough people buy this circus attraction and turns out even remotely exciting you will see a “rematch”.. I can totally see Chavez lace em up several more times!

Reminds me of the overkill Rocky series which went on for well over 40 years with countless silly Rocky sequels. I think the next one will probably be about Rocky’s dog or something maybe Rockys great grandson vs Apollo’s grand kid….One thing I do not want to watch is spoiled bitch son Julio Jr fight again. They would have to pay me to watch this crap.

  • Not a fan of JC even having a exhibition BUT the gut the Jr has on him makes things a tad more doable but more laughable. Jr needs to wear his trunks like Louie The Looper LOL

Give him the old 1-3 Jr

  • This will be a fun fight to see because it will be a set up the Chavez Jr vs. Camacho Jr. for big $$$. Camacho Jr will embarrass Chavez Sr. and Chavez Jr. will step into the ring to voice a big challenge and to avenge his father’s honor. This is all about entertainment like WWE wrestling. This is a set up.

  • Why all the negative energy? whenever i read comments on this site, it is always about negative comments. i wonder whether anyone with something bad to say ever stepped into a boxing ring? Julio Cesar Chavez is an abosute legend and still considered to be the best Mexican boxer ever and if he can be able to have 5 exhibitions after this then good for him. This world would be a better place if People Learn to Love and Respect more.

  • Dont blame the Boxers for these desperate matches. Look at the sadist fans who keep paying for, watching them.
