Former world champion Adrien Broner has laid down his purse demands for his next fight.
AB posted the following on Instagram:
“Al Haymon and Espinoza I need 10M to come back and fight. Man I den did everything for y’all and fought whoever without no complaining. Now send me a direct deposit or I’m going to Cali to see my peoples that got em for 1200.”
Broner also posted a rather bizarre adults only video discussing his sexual struggles.
He’s 2-2-1 in his last 5 fights (with his last fight being well over a year ago) and can’t stay out of trouble, but he wants 10 million to fight? He’s truly living in an echo chamber if he thinks there’s enough demand to see him fight that it warrants that kind of payday.

10 million? Yeah maybe you did fight whoever they asked you to but you accepted. Besides you should or could of won most of those fights. If you would have thrown more punches. As much as I dislike Mayweather, he always came to fight, adapt or slap-box in order to win, he had a plan and discipline…something you lack….bottom line you can’t win those 10 million

The sad thing is there are untold multitudes of fans who would actually pay good money to see his next fight despite him being washed up.

AB is not well. I’m not saying this to be mean. It’s truly concerning to see him like this. He should have chosen the simple lifestyle with his wife and family.

Give him 10m over like three fights, with an increasing wage in each fight provided that he wins them. For the first fight he gets 1m and his opponent is…. lets say Ugas.
And that’ll be that.

Broner, at one time was a great prospect. In terms of reaching the elite level.). He has never been an elite boxing great, he was just good at best. With the proper discipline he probably would have been a great. It is unfortunate as in his mind he is a great and he wants to be paid as such. At this point he is a USA network fighter. His, next match needs to be 100 or 200 thousand tops. When he proves that he can actually begin to win against average competition then his purse should increase. Next step up to above average and from there, gatekeepers then champions. Each step should increase his purse. He is great at talking a bunch of smack but not being able to back it up. He and Chavez Jr. Are identical. They talk their way into big fights but don’t earn them. Chavez is only recognized because if his family name and Broner is only acknowledged because of some of his past success and his affiliation with Mayweather. (Time to stop attempting to tie yourself into everything Mayweather does and stand on your own feet.) Remember when he lost the Maidana fight and post fight he said “everyone felt like it was Floyd losing.” He needs to make his own legacy, dedicate himself to the sport and stop getting into big fights only to go in and throw 8 punches in 12 rounds and then cry about losing and tout his delusional self-certified greatness. He has lost a lot of years and I doubt he can be an elite box great at this point and age, but at least he could be in some great fights and beat maybe some gatekeepers at welterweight or junior Welter. I don’t see him beating any of the top welters though. Spence, forget it, Porter we see how that went with catch-weight and hydration clauses. Crawford, forget it. Thurman, on a bad night maybe. Pacquaio, (not likely) Danny Garcia (possible as he is also not elite but also not likely.) Ugas (not likely). He might be able to be in entertaining fights with some of them with complete dedication to the sport.

Nah, Broner is a decent fighter and may play into our minds once in a while. However, his out-of-the-ring problems and run-ins with the law are a reality as well. So sad, but true. That being said, it’s fair to question his state of mind once in a while as trouble and controversy always surrounds him outside the ring. For all we know, Broner may suffer from a spectrum of anti-social personality disorder and his personal troubles are all brought onto himself out of choice. Some folks always want to be in the spotlight whether it’s good or bad just so recognition can feed their egos. Unfortunately, Broner’s ego in some cases are his own enemy.

AB does some of the stupidest things, but I think he’s smarter than asking for more than he’s worth. He probably is doing this to get as much he can for his next fight, which I think he has all the rights to do. That said, if he wants more money for his fights, he first has to fight and win. He also has to win in some entertaining fashion, like pre-Maidana Broner. Since Maidana, Broner has had trouble throwing punches. He just poses and throws occasional counter hooks and lacks the energy and explosiveness. He is probably a damaged fighter knowing he doesn’t have many fights left in him.
Sad. What a waste of boxing talent. He had it.
They are not paying him 10 million because he is a good fighter ,they are paying 10 million because he is a ASS CLOWN THAT CAN STILL SELL SEATS and generate viewers on cable , he is a good definition as why sometimes you can make more money losing than winning SMH

He’s been doing and saying stupid shit his entire career, and as his stock goes down (no pun intended) as a fighter, he’s going to go from “eccentric” to just flat out crazy! Despite how obnoxious he is, he actually seems like a pretty likeable dude. I hope he gets help!
