‘Towering Inferno’ vows to bring the fire

Unbeaten 6’6 super welterweight Sebastián “The Towering Inferno” Fundora has promised to bring the action against Erickson “Hammer” Lubin when they fight for the WBC interim title on Showtime Saturday in Las Vegas.

“We know Lubin is a southpaw and that he’s ranked number one by the WBC,” said Fundora. “He’s a good fighter overall. I expect him to come in and box, but I’m really just focused on doing what I do best. Fans can expect me to bring action against Erickson Lubin. ‘The Towering Inferno’ is bringing the fire on fight night.”

  • When is he going to step it up a notch? He seems to be fighting under matched opponents.

  • Fundora does not have the tools to handle Lubin. He will be outclassed

  • Fundora will KO Lubin!!! Mark my words!! Come at me on Sunday morning if wrong, but please bring all the flowers when right!! Lubin is chinny…..

  • I agree; Lubin is chinny, however, we don’t know if Fundora is, and I just envision Lubin being able to catch Fundora in between those long punches. Fundoras defense is that fighters can’t reach him, but I think Lubin can; he’s a dog.

  • Team Fundora show absolute confidence with this matchup. Dont be fooled by how the Charlo-Lubin fight went. Lubin is very skilled and has undeniable athletic talents.

  • This is the kind of crossroads fight that used to air almost every Sunday on NBC Sports World. Looking forward to it!
