Nuñez decisions Gamez in Panama

Undefeated Cuban bantamweight Leosdan Nuñez (10-0, 4 KOs) scored a ten rounds decision (99-90 x 3) over Venezuelan prospect Otto Gamez (18-2, 13 KOs) in the main event of Thursday night boxing event at La Sociedad Española in Panama.

In a very exciting fight between two Venezuelans, 39-year-old Charlie Navarro (28-9, 22 KOs) won a split decision over previously undefeated Johan “Manotas” Gonzalez (22-1, 22 KOs) to claim the WBA Fedelatin super welterweight. Two of the official scores were 105-104 for Navarro and the other one 105-104 for Gonzalez.

Local lightweight Ernesto Marin (5-0, 2 KOs) stopped Edgar Guillen (3-12-2, 1 KO) at 2:23 of round 2.
