Formerly world-ranked contender Ryan “Blue Chip” Martin (25-2, 15 KOs) stopped veteran Carlos Padilla (18-13-1, 12 KOs) of Colombia in round one of a scheduled ten round junior welterweight bout.
Unbeaten super bantamweight Jorge De Jesus Romero (23-0-1, 14 KOs) of Cuba kept his unbeaten record intact by unanimously decisioning Julian Evaristo Aristule (35-16, 18 KOs) of Argentina.Scores after ten rounds were 99-89, 98-90, 99-89.
Victor Abreu, a Cuban national team member from Cienfuegos, Cuba (2-0, 1 KO) went the distance for the first time as pro, unanimously decisioning Maickol Lopez (16-3, 8 KOs) of Mexicali, Mexico in an eight round super bantamweight bout. The oficial scores were 79-73, 78-74, and 77-75.
Olympian Frank “El Perro” Zaldivar (3-0, 1 KO) of Santiago, Cuba impressively stopped former world title challenger Daulis Prescott (33-18, 25 KOs) in round three of an eight round lightweight fight. Zaldivar is a veteran of over 200 amateur fights.
Cuban National Team member from Cienfuegos, Cuba Nestor Santana (1-0, 1 KO) was victorious in his pro debut versus previously unbeaten Alexis Nieuwkerk (1-1, 1KO) of Amsterdam, NY scoring a first round KO of a six round heavyweight bout. The 23-year-old Santana is 6’6” and weighs 270 pounds and had 147 fights as an amateur.
Super welteweight Yordan Barrera(1-0) of Guantanamo, Cuba made his pro debut defeating veteran Luis Florez (25-23, 22 KOs) by unanimous decisión. All three judges scored the fight for Barrera 59-55. Florez was the first to defeat former world champion Michel Berchelt stopping him in round 1. Barrera was a highly decorated amateur with 250 amateur fights under his belt.
Yankiel Navarro (1-0, 1 KO) of Havana, Cuba won his pro debut in 4 round middleweight bout stopping previously unbeaten Nicholas Draine (1-1, 1 KO).
Cuban Olympian Fernando Cruza (1-0 was victorious in his pro debut against previously unbeaten Cody Kerr (1-1, 1 KO) of Omaha, NE. The 6’5” /215 pound Cruza dropped Kerr twice in route to a unanimous in a six-round contest. The official scores were all in favor to Cruza 60-52 twice and 59-53.
Previously unbeaten Luis Rivera (7-1, 5 KOs) of Miami by way of Tampa, FL was upset by Juan Carlos Centeno (7-6-3, 1 KO) in a scheduled six round bantamweight contest. The offical scores were 59-55 twice for Rivera and 57-57 even.
Heavyweight Gustavo Trujillo (1-0, 1 KO) an exciting Miami fighter of BKFC fame won his pro debut against Joseph Bond (0-4-0) of Orlando, FL in round 1.
Local Miami favorite, Uly “Monster” Diaz (14-1, 13 KOs) TKO´d Quintell Thompson of Columbia, MO (5-18-1) in round 1 of a scheduled six round cruiserweight bout.
