Unbeaten super flyweight contender Rex “The Wonder Kid” Tso (22-0, 13 KOs), formerly ranked WBO #1, says he’s not retiring, but is no longer with DEF Promotions. His next fight is TBA.
Top Rank will be announcing that WBC super featherweight champion Miguel “Alarcon” Berchelt and top challenger Miguel “Mickey” Roman, who will fight November 3 at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, Texas on ESPN+.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao stated he still hasn’t been paid by Top Rank for U.S. rights to his fight in July against Lucas Matthysse.
Top Rank and Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions have announced a multi-year licensing agreement that will bring Warren’s fights to ESPN platforms. Warren is the archrival of Matchroom, which is tied into the DAZN streaming service.
The first show under the agreement will be Warren’s Oct. 6 card featuring WBO #2 super lightweight contender Jack “El Gato” Catterall (22-0, 12 KOs) against Ohara Davies (18-1, 14 KOs).
