Beltran just a slight favorite to retain belt

Often a new world champion gets a soft first defense in his hometown. But nothing in boxing has ever been easy for Ray Beltran. WBO lightweight champion Beltran is only a narrow -115 favorite tonight against former IBF champ Jose Pedraza -105 in a hard to gage brawler vs. boxer bout. The over/under is 9.5 rounds. Over is -280, under is +230. The fight takes place in Beltran’s adopted hometown of Phoenix.

In the other championship bout, WBO jr featherweight champion Isaac Dogboe -5000 against Hidenori Otake +2000, over 9.5 is +100, under 9.5 is -125.
