Thomas Hearns and Jackie Kallen teamed up with 10 Count Promotions to present Boxing in the D at the Antheneum Suite Hotel in Detroit. The five fight card, matchmade by Carlos Llinas, featured a main event showcase of Taylor Duerr (7-0-1, 6 KOs) vs. a tough opponent in Leroy Jones (3-4, 2 KOs). Record aside, Leroy Jones did come to fight and proved his durability over the 6-Round light heavyweight bout.

Round 1, Jones was able to land a couple of left hooks to the head. Duerr finished the round strong with a fury of punches that kept Jones in the corner. Rounds 2 and 3, Duerr landed power shots, firing from a good distance. The last three rounds had both fighters throwing at close distance, all three judges saw Duerr landing the better shots (60-54, 60-54, 60-54), along with better control over the fight.

Christian White (1-0, 1 KO) won his pro debut over Terren Arrington (0-1) the 56-second 1st Round TKO came from a 1-2 combination in the corner. Arrington, who beat the count told Referee Rob Cunningham, he had a headache and when he asked again if he wanted to continue to fight, he responded the same. This forced Cunningham to stop the junior welterweight fight.

Junior middleweight Andre Holmes (6-0, 4 KOs) defeated Dominique Foster (2-8-1) by TKO. Foster was unable to continue fighting before the 3rd round began.
Middleweight Cedric Paul (1-0, 1 KO) wins by TKO at the 1:18 mark of 3rd round over Antonio Hernandez (0-3).

Pablo Parente (1-0, 1 KO) won his pro debut heavyweight bout over Daniel Haney (0-1) with a TKO 1:44 in the 1st. The debut featured two knockdowns by the strong Parente.
