    • Yep unless he’s going to be knocked out by Tank if he doesn’t know how to maintain him at bay !

  • just showed the boxing community he is the most overhyped overpaid boxer currently he will get KOd by any of the top elite 135 or 140 lb fighters

    • He’s just not a finished product. I find it shocking that any of the judges gave any round to Tagoe. He did fine. Not spectacular, but fine. If Tagoe was at all a threat, Ryan might have showed more defense. I think the fair critique is that, while Ryan took what Tagoe gave him, Ryan did not take the next step and impose his will and prevent Tagoe from riding his bicycle and holding.

  • I love Joe Gussen. Brilliant assessment. I think Ryan Garcia is in great hands and will develop well with Joe. Smart choice. He got a lot under Eddy & Canelo. Now it is time for him to develop. Ryan needs 5 more fights before he is ready for elite competition, fighting once every 3 to 4 months.

    • FIVE more fights!?!?! So now guys need 30+ fights before they’re ready to fight someone with a pulse? Give me a break. This kid will never be ready for the likes of Lomachenko, Davis, Kambosos or even Haney. He’s by far the weakest link. Those guys are fighting big fights and this kid is hiding in his room claiming mental health while getting a bunch of poorly thought out tattoos.

    • I think the maturing process has started, Ryan said after the fight that he is getting smarter and not letting his mouth get carried away with him. He said he will listen to his team and see what they say and where they are, how about that?

  • I hope Goossen corrects some terrible flaws that prevent or will prevent Ryan Garcia to reach the elite level. Two of those flaws are that sometimes he throws a punch and at the same time he moves his body backwards, another one is that when seems he is going forward to attack, all of the sudden stops and put the gloves on his face, both make him looks ridiculously amateur, no to mention his horrible foot work and throwing punches to the fence.

  • Garcia has excellent talent and natural assets. His claim that he’s only in boxing to knock all his opponents out is alarming. It’s going to limit his development. Hopefully Joe Goosen will be able to get him to realize he should work all his boxing off the jab. Garcia doesn’t do that right now – he just loads everything up into knockout shots, leaving his chin in the air while he does so. This will render him vulnerable against the better opponents in the division, Tank Davis for starters. The Instagram following of teenage girls is nothing but a huge distraction from boxing. Bunking a fight due to ‘mental health’ issues probably has more to do with conforming to youth social media trends than putting his boxing career first and foremost. If Garcia wants to achieve the aims he claims he wants to in the fight game, he needs to make a choice between boxing and social media.

  • All the time with Goosen in the world won’t give this kid what he needs. I don’t think Canelo meant any meanness in his statement about Garcia. I think its just fact. There’s something missing. Ya just don’t see the hunger or dedication needed in this kid. Canelo and most of the elite, the legends, “lived” boxing. You could and can see it in their eyes. The way they carry themselves. Ryan Garcia seems to be partaking in boxing because he’s a gifted and talented athlete. Not because he’s born with a fighters undying heart. Not knocking the kid. He’ll do well. But ya just can’t teach what I’d absent in his game.

  • I want to see Ryan Vs roelly Romero to be honest I think that would be a better more competitive fight than the tank Davis matchup.
