Carl Frampton has ridiculed the suggestion from IBF featherweight champion Josh Warrington that he might look for an early night when the pair clash with the world title on December 22 at the Manchester Arena. Warrington confessed that his only slight regret from his dismantling of then-titleholder Lee Selby in May was that he did not attempt to force a stoppage when he had the Welshman tiring and cornered. He vowed to go for the jugular against Frampton.
Frampton responded by posting Warrington’s record on Twitter, circling the champ’s paltry 6 stoppages in his 27 wins. “He may take the pillows off then,” added Frampton.
