After thirty years of ring announcing in historic venues such as MSG, the Blue Horizon, Hammerstein Ballroom, and Radio City Music Hall, famed ring announcer Henry “Discombobulating” Jones is finally getting his long overdue opportunity to work a televised main event on a major network.
Jones will announce Showtime’s November 16 ShoBox: The New Generation telecast headlined by undefeated welterweight Jaron “Boots” Ennis at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA. “I have been waiting for this for 30 years. I thank GOD. Keeping the faith has helped me get to this point. I’m not nervous about it. I’m anxious because it is my time to shine and open doors for future announcers,” said Jones.
