WBC super featherweight world champion Miguel “Alarcon” Berchelt (34-1, 30 KOs) is convinced that not only will he beat Mickey Roman (60-12, 47 KOs), he wants to do it convincingly via knockout. Berchelt (34-1-0, 30 KOs) will defend his green and gold belt for the fourth time when he takes on Roman November 3 at the Don Haskins Arena in El Paso, Texas.
“Mickey is an aggressive fighter who stays in front and his style is going to make it easier for me to knock him out,” said Berchelt. “Fans will be able to witness a great fight, but it’s clear to us that we’ll win and we’ll do it by knockout.”
Berchelt, who is training at the Caballeros Gym in Hermosillo, will leave for Texas on Sunday.
