For boxing fans in Northern Mexico, Friday night (August 18, 2017) was an opportunity to see one of Mexico’s brightest female prospects as Paola Torres took on Perla Ramirez of Aguascalientes. Torres didn’t disappoint her fans as she dominated Ramirez, scoring a knockout in round five. Torres is hoping to secure a rematch with WBO female world featherweight champion Cindy Serrano, who defeated Torres by close decision back in May of 2017. With the win, Torres improves to 11-2-1, 4 KOs. Ramirez falls to 1-3.

Also on the card, Brenda Ramos won an eight round unanimous decision over Brenda Ronson. Ramos improves to 10-5, 4 KOs.

On the undercard, local girl Edith Ramos (6-1-1, 0 KOs) won a six round split decision over Beatris Jimenez of Mexico City (4-3-1, 2 KOs).

The show took place at the Salon 3 Estrellas in Castanos, Coahuila.
