Son of the Legend Jorge “Maromerito” Páez (40-11-2, 24 KOs) returns Saturday night in a rematch against José Carlos “Puro” Paz (22-7-1, 12 KOs) on Saturday night at the Gimnasio del Sindicato de Trabajadores del Metro in Mexico City. Paez asked Zanfer to get a rematch with Paz, to whom he lost a unanimous decision last October, arguing that he can defeat Paz and at that time he didn’t have the best preparation and had a bad night. Zanfer is got it, with the caveat that one more defeat, and could mean retirement. Paz, meanwhile, in his most recent bout last May in Durango, crushed the dreams of another son of a Mexican boxing legend, decisioning Omar Chavez.

The card also features hot Zanfer featherweight Carlos “Chinito” Ornelas (21-0, 12 KOs) against Wilmank Cano Jr (15-1-2, 6 KOs) in a ten-rounder.
