Pacquiao-Matthysse Undercard announced

Before the Pacquiao vs. Matthysse WBA welterweight championship bout on July 14 at the famous Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, three other title fights will heat up the event.

Unbeaten WBA light flyweight champion Carlos Canizales (20-0-1, 16 KOs), of Venezuela, will stake his crown against 2016 Chinese Olympian Lu Bin (1-0, 1 KO), an amateur standout attempting to win a world title in his second pro fight. Veteran Moruti Mthalane (35-2, 24 KOs), of South Africa, will battle it out with Pakistani star Muhammad Waseem (8-0, 6 KOs) for the vacant IBF flyweight crown. And Mexican featherweight Edivaldo “Indio” Ortega (26-1-1, 12 KOs) locks horns with unbeaten Filipino Jhack Tepora (21-0, 16 KOs) in an IBO world title fight.

Tickets went on sale Thursday. Prices are $5,000, $2,000, $1,000, $500, $350, $250 and $125. The 16,000-seat venue is expected to be sold out. Pacquiao is also the promoter of the event. “This is what we have been waiting for. Let’s get on with the fights,” said Pacman, who has already logged in more than 20 rounds of sparring. Matthysse has been training in California.
