Former world champion Victor Ortiz (36-6-3, 25 KOs) of Oxnard, California and veteran slugger John Molina Jr. (30-7, 24 KOs) of West Covina, California held a press conference Tuesday afternoon at the Palm Restaurant in Los Angeles to discuss their showdown taking place Sunday September 30 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on the Premier Boxing Champions on FS1. Here is what the fighters had to say:

Victor Ortiz: “Going back to John and I. Nothing but mutual respect but what it comes down to is to give the fans a war. Come September 30. I’m here for another victory.”

John Molina Jr: “Nothing but respect. Here’s a prediction, September 30, it’s going to be a war. Expect nothing but a great fight. I’m coming prepared and he is coming prepared. Expect nothing but fireworks.”

Richard Schaefer: “It’s safe to say that it will be a September to remember. Victor Ortiz vs John Molina Jr. is an all-action bout. These two styles are made for each other.”
