IBF champ Farmer KOs Tennyson to retain belt

IBF junior lightweight champion Tevin Farmer (27-4-1, 6 KO’s) impressively TKO’d James Tennyson (22-3, 18 KO’s) with body shots in the 5th round on Saturday night at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The American southpaw was dominating the rounds early in the fight with his quick hands and speedy footwork. Farmer dropped Tennyson with a left hand to the body in the 4th in which Tennyson winced in pain. Farmer finished the contest in the 5th, assaulting the body with stinging hooks.

“Who’s the puncher, now?!” said Farmer after the fight and then the Philadelphia champion called for a unification bout with the other American juniorr lightweight champion, WBA Title Holder, Gervonta Davis (20-0, 19 KO’s).
