The walkout bout at the Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City was an all-out war and perhaps the best fight of the night. The 8-round lightweight battle between former WBA junior lightweight champion Jason Sosa, Camden, NJ, and Reynaldo Blanco, Carolina, PR, featured non-stop action in every round that see-sawed back and forth. Sosa held the edge most of the way, but it wasn’t easy. He scored two knockdowns in the final round and won by scores of 79-69, 78-70, and 77-72. Sosa improved to 21-3-4, 15 KOs, while Blanco fell to 14-5, 8 KOs.

The eight bout card was promoted by Top Rank and the two main bouts were televised by ESPN.
