Culcay claims EU middleweight belt

Former WBA super welterweight world champion Jack Culcay (24-3, 12 KOs) scored a sixth round TKO over Adasat Rodriguez (17-8-2, 10 KOs) in a bout for the vacant EBU EU belt at the Kohlrabizirkus in Leipzig, Germany. A barrage of Culcay punches prompted a referee’s stoppage. Time was :55.

Light heavyweight Enrico Koelling (26-2, 8 KOs) had all he could handle with late sub Andrejs Pokumeiko (17-14-1, 13 KOs). Originally slated to challenge European champion Dominic Bösel who pulled out with an injury, Koelling barely prevailed 77-76, 77-75, 78-74 over eight against Pokumeiko.

Light heavyweight Adam Deines (15-0-1, 7 KOs) was knocked down but still defeated Gasan Gasanov (15-6-1, 12 KOs) over ten 96-94, 97-92, 96-93.

Former female world champion Ramona Kühne (27-1, 10 KOs) swept past Bojana Liiszewska (5-29, 1 KO) in an eight round lightweight match-up.
