Canelo Camp makes GGG final offer

Golden Boy Promotions has issued a final offer to WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin to fight Canelo Alvarez in a September rematch. The split offered is 42.5% for GGG with Canelo getting 57.5%. The offer is only good until noon today.

The split in their first fight was 30/70 in Canelo’s favor. For the original rematch (cancelled due to Canelo testing positive for a banned substance), the split was 35/65 for Canelo. When rematch talks started again, Golovkin wanted 50/50. Team Canelo countered with 40/60 and now 42.5/57.5. Will GGG accept?
