Akhemdov-Barroso Saturday in LA

Unbeaten Russian prospect Batyr Akhmedov (4-0, 3 KOs) takes a big step up in class Saturday night the luxurious Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles against former WBA interim world champ Ismael Barroso (20-2, 19 KOs) of Venezuela. The bout is scheduled for 10 rounds with the WBA inter-continental super lightweight title on the line. Akhmedov weighed in at 139 pounds and Barroso 138.

The show’s promoter Ed holmes/All Star Boxing encourages those in the area who can attend to try and do so.

“It’s going to be an outstanding night of boxing capped off with a main event with world ranking implications at stake for the winner. The Westin Bonaventure Hotel is an elite venue and there is not a bad seat in the house. I am very proud to say I have had many big named fighters fight on my shows early in their careers over the years. Also, my shows over the years have been attended by many famed fighters to famous people in general. You never know who you may see there. The events are very fan friendly. General admission is a fair $55 for all you get to see. I look forward to seeing you there,” said Holmes/

There are a total of 9 fights including an opening MMA womens bout. Tickets can be purchased by calling 323 816 6200.
