The guy has some skill but is to green to fight for the title next up. Give him Parker or White or someone top 5 and see how his slaps go then. He beat a bum with a name nothing more.
Totally, he looked good in there, very composed, patient and calculated, but Wisherspoon, at this stage isn’t much of a test.
I think he needs to get in line and earn a title shot, prove his worth a HW, not just get one because he was unified cruiser.
Holyfield fought quite a few heavies and looked solid at the weight before he got his shot.
Be good to see him fight again in the next 3 months, against someone in the top 10.
Only a bum, calls a boxer a bum. Never put the gloves on obviously.
Either Parker or Whyte can beat Usyk.
….. And you say that based on what? Speed and skills kill casual. If you hadn’t just started watching boxing last month you would know that
Thought Usyk looked fine. Wasn’t much of a test though. I agree I would like to see him against Povetkin, Chisora or Joe Joyce. Whyte doesn’t deserve any fight since he is a steroid cheat.
He’s gt very good skills but he got touched up too much by a retired overweight fighter that was called from his couch. If moved right, he could make a bunch of money as a Great White Hype. He’ll likely get hurt by the current top tier Heavyweights.
@NJ boxing- If I were Usyk I would have Wilder in my crosshairs and no one else at the moment. Wilder has a couple commitments that will probably keep him busy until at least next summer. Stylewise Usyk matches up much better against Wilder than he does against Joshua, Ruiz, or Fury. He has the speed, ring savy, and unorthodox style to exploit Wilders gaping defense and telegraphed punches. Wilder can get away with that against Dominic Brazeale, Bermaine Stiverne, and Eric Molina, but not against a masterful fighter like Usyk. After the Brazeale fight, Wilder was boasting on how he so cleverly set his man up for the KO. True he did, and deserves much credit, but do you think he’s gonna be setting up Usyk like that? Hell no! From a size standpoint, they are pretty much the same. Obviously Wilder is much taller, but they both probably walk around at 215. Make this fight happen now god damnit!
