Teiken Promotions has announced a world title tripleheader on Monday. World flyweight champions—WBC’s Kenshiro Teraji (24-1, 15 KOs) and WBA’s Seigo Yuri Akui (21-2-1, 11 KOs)—will square off for unification at Ryogoku Sumo Arena, Tokyo, on March 13.

The sensational main event will be supported by a couple of competitive title goes. WBC 112-pound ruler Anthony Olascuaga (8-1, 6 KOs) will risk his belt against formerly two-division champ Hiroto Kyoguchi (19-2, 12 KOs) over twelve. Teiken’s champ Shokichi Iwata (14-1, 11 KOs) will put his WBO 105-pound belt against WBO#2 Rene Santiago (13-4, 9 KOs), from Puerto Rico, over twelve.

Another LOVELY card from Japan. Hopefully they get a nice run of unifications this year with all those champions they have in the same weight classes – especially at bantamweight.
The two classic belts being unified by two quality fighters. Shame the WBC saw fit to name an ‘interim’ belt holder in the division.
