WBC 112-pound ruler Anthony Olascuaga (8-1, 6 KOs) will risk his belt against formerly two-division champ Hiroto Kyoguchi (19-2, 12 KOs) over twelve. Teiken’s champ Shokichi Iwata (14-1, 11 KOs) will put his WBO 105-pound belt against WBO#2 Rene Santiago (13-4, 9 KOs), from Puerto Rico, over twelve.

  • Another LOVELY card from Japan. Hopefully they get a nice run of unifications this year with all those champions they have in the same weight classes – especially at bantamweight.

  • The two classic belts being unified by two quality fighters. Shame the WBC saw fit to name an ‘interim’ belt holder in the division.
