  • I think that this might be the TYPE of fight Katie loses, ultimately: Against some nondescript type who she overlooks that can kind of ‘out athlete’ her, because she’s getting up there in age. But I don’t think Carbajal is the one to do it. Never fought outside of Argentina, never fought world class even in Argentina and she’s more of a junior lightweight as well. I think Taylor shuts her out.

    • Yup. Taylor weathered Serrano, and although I scored it a draw, it felt like a much tougher fight than Cabajal. I always have concerns when a “sheltered” fighter has their first international fight. I see Taylor looking good in this one.

      Plus, and I can’t quite put my finger on why, I find Katie Taylor ridiculously attractive. Thus, I feel the need to root for her. No idea why I felt the need to share that…

      • Nothing wrong with that. She’s a pretty girl and carries herself well. I do find something about her voice to be very strange, however. I don’t think that she is slurring her words, but sometimes that’s what it almost sounds like.
