Former WBO minimumweight champion Francisco “Chihuas” Rodriguez (28-4-1, 20 KOs) scored a second round KO over Yohei Tobe (13-3-1, 9 KOs) on Saturday night in a super flyweight clash at the Gimnasio Nuevo León Independiente in Monterrey, Mexico. Tobe down twice. This was the ninth straight win for “Chihuas,” who retained his WBC Latin silver title.
In other action, 2016 Olympian super lightweight Lindolfo Delgado stopped Jose Luis Avalos in three, bantamweight Karim Arce (nephew of former world champ Jorge Arce) fought to an eight round draw with Juan Jimenez, and female bantamweight Dulce “Sexy” García stopped Monica Trejo in six.
