April 27 Ramirez/Ortiz twinbill confirmed

Golden Boy has officially announced an April 27 boxing doubleheader at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California. In the main event, making his Golden Boy debut in front of his hometown crowd, U.S. Olympian and former unified super lightweight world champion Jose Ramirez (28-1, 18 KOs) will return against Rances Barthelemy (30-2-1, 15 KOs). Ramirez will be fighting for the first time since March 2023. The co-feature is undefeated knockout artist Vergil Ortiz Jr. (20-0, 20 KOs) against Thomas Dulorme (26-6-1, 17 KOs) in a 10-round super welterweight fight.

“I am thrilled to announce this doubleheader coming to Fresno’s Save Mart Center on Saturday, April 27,” said Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya. “Both Jose and Vergil are knocking on the door of world championships, but to get to that next level, they will need to get past two guys who have faced the best of the best during their careers. With these two stars appearing atop the kind of stacked card the Golden Boy delivers on each and every show, April 27 is going to be a night to remember.”

DAZN will stream the card.

  • I think this is a good fight for Ramirez to shake off some rust. Bad fight for Ortiz because he is fighting a blown up jr. Welterweight that hasn’t fought. Maybe that one round KO just wasn’t enough and they are looking for someone to go some rounds, maybe?

  • A dollar store card with some badly refurbished items, no bad idea to put this card on a 75 bucks PPV

  • I wonder if in 3 more years they gona make press conference PPV???

    For 15 dollars
