  • This is the type of fight a boxer at Golovkin’s level should be taking. A mismatch first to test the waters, not too bad, but another one, not acceptable at all. Difficult fight, but I think he will prevail. Derevyankchenko is a strong iron chinned guy that could pull a mild upset, but I stil favor GGG in this one. This is a better fight than Golovkin vs. Andrade or Saunders. Looms in the horizon the third fight, being bigger than the others two if he defeats Derevyankchenko in a great fight.

    • Andrade looked like a beast with the flat footed POLE and looked like he could beat anyone on that night! I don’t think he could pull-off the same trickery against Golovkin who is a go-get-em type of guy, but Andrade has more moves he could use than Golovkin has! Andrade also has power, though in an early round exchange between him and Maciej, the Pole caught him with a couple of good shots, where the fight took a more conservative tone afterwards? Andrade will not be easy to catch that’s for sure, for he is well rounded! Golovkin will have to use all his experience and ability to catch Andrade, which won’t be easy? This could be a career ending fight for Golovkin if he loses? IMO…
