A direct rematch between world champion Gennady Golovkin and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez was ordered here at the WBC’s 55th Annual Convention in Baku, Azerbaijan. WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman announced the Board of Governors’ official decision today. The bout is expected to take place for Cinco de Mayo 2018.
