Shakan Pitters is the new British light heavyweight champion after defeating Chad Sugden by unanimous points decision on Saturday night in Redditch, England. All three judges’ had it for Pitters with wide scores of 118-111 (twice) and 119-110.

The fight was originally scheduled for March 28 but was delayed when the COVID-19 pandemic struck and the lockdown ensued.
