Arely Muciño retains WBO title

In an exciting and close fight, WBO female flyweight champion Arely “Ametralladora” Muciño (27-3-2, 10 KOs) retained her title against challenger Mary “La Polvorita” Salinas on Saturday night at the Arena Jose Sulaiman in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.

Scores were 97-93, 98-92 for Muciño, and 96-94 in favor of Salinas.

In other action, junior flyweight Daniel “Cejitas” Valladares (18-1, 11 KOs) scored a seventh round KO over Alejandro “Pacquiao” Villaseñor (17-3, 3 KOs), and in his Zanfer debut, unbeaten featherweight Irving Turrubiartes (17-0, 13 KOs) won by TKO at the beginning of round eight against Gabino “Blue Demon” Hernández (6-7-2, 2 KOs).
