Wilder, Fury Grand Arrivals

WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder and lineal heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury made their grand arrivals Tuesday afternoon at MGM Grand, kicking off fight week events for their heavyweight showdown on Saturday. Fury (29-0-1, 20 KOs) rolled up in a red Ferrari, while Wilder (42-0-1, 41 KOs) arrived shortly after in a Rolls-Royce SUV.

Deontay Wilder: “I’m going to knock out Tyson Fury in devastating fashion on Saturday night. After I show the world what greatness lies inside of me, I will continue to go even further and do more amazing things in this sport.”

Tyson Fury: “I am knocking that bum out in two rounds. It’s going to be an early night. I’ve done all I can, and I can’t wait for Saturday night to be here. The WBC belt is the only major title I’ve yet to win. Saturday night, it will be mine.”

    • Wilder looks like a pimp the way he is dressed. Fury looks like is going to a comic-con festival.

  • I dont see Fury getting it done in 2 or 3 rounds I believe he is going to have to set in the knock out shot if its there which is going to take several rounds because Wilder is going to bring it and he is always dangerous.

I expect the same kind of fight this time no knock downs maybe Fury gets staggered but no knock downs this time question is will Fury get a fair shake on the cards?

    • Really, fury was throwing popcorn punches all night and only outlander him by 13 punches in 12 rounds.
      He was not the aggressor.
The reason why it looks like Wilder got beat so bad is because he looked so bad landing only 13% of his punches I had it for fury 8 rds to 4 with the 2 knockdowns won by 2 points max. Or even 7rds to 5 with the 2 points made it a draw

  • When last he knocked a guy out in 2? This doesn’t sound like confidence. More like WWE. The more aggressive he fights the more it favors Wilder. Kudos to these two guys for agreeing to take a risk and fight the best the game has to offer. This is what the fans wanna see. The ‘hurt business’ is turning into ‘protection from a possible loss’ business.

    • NJ, well said. I agree, this is what fans want to see. I get tired of watching “tune-ups” that line the pockets of promoters and organizations with fair predictable excitement. If boxing wants to survive, it MUST step up and provide quality entertainment. Just ask the younger new-crowd of liberal managers in NY HBO studios about boxing. It’s gone from their network. HBO sought after network series and documentaries for the other popular growing audiences.

  • Both of these great Warriors are talking knockout. I’m gonna have to lean on Tyson Fury to set up a Unification with AJ and or a third fioght between Deontay Wilder. This is what Heavyweight boxing is all about. No disrespect, just two talented and explosive fighters toe to toe…

      • I’m leaning on Fury based on his hand speed and movement, but we all know it only takes one punch from Wilder to knock anyone out. In the end, I just wanna see a good fight, but if you ask me who do I think will win, my gut says Tyson Fury finds a way to win this one.

        • Thank you for the reply. This fight is so close in some ways that it’s a guessing game looking over some intangibles for the winner.

  • I like these conferences, they’re enlightening.
Fury: I’m going to knock him out
Wilder: I’m going to knock him out.
    Ok, bye.
