WBO #6 lightweight Kye McKenzie (20-1, 17 KOs) stopped Mark Bernaldez (17-2, 11 KOs) in round seven of a scheduled ten with the WBO Asia Pacific title up for grabs at Metro City, Northbridge, Western Australia on Friday. McKenzie dropped Bernaldez in round four and in round five the Filipino had the rangy Australian on the canvas. The referee crowned McKenzie at 1:56 of round seven after Bernaldez had been dropped twice.
