“I know that I have what it takes to become a world champion,” said Marriaga afterward. “I want to challenge for another world title!”

Unbeaten 2916 Olympic gold medalist Robson Conceicao (10-0, 5 KOs) outpointed Joey Laviolette (9-2, 5 KOs) over eight rounds in a super featherweight clash. Another disappointing performance for Conceicao who cruised to an uneventful 80-72 3x unanimous decision.

Unbeaten super lightweight Saul “Neno” Rodriguez (22-0-1, 16 KOs) scored a second round TKO over Claudio Rosendo Tapia (28-19-4, 13 KOs).
