Tyson needs to stay away from pro wrestling as it undermines his legacy. He’s terrible on the mic and the bigger guys make him look like a dwarf.
How does it “undermine his legacy”?
“Youngest HW champ… smashed Larry Holmes and Michael Spinks… dominated an era… came back and regained the title.”
“Yeah, but then he did a stint in pro wrestling”
“Oh yeah, you’re right. Forget everything I said. He’s a bum, just like Joe Louis. Undid the good work of 25 defences by wrestling later in his life…”
Perhaps legacy was the wrong word. I should have said “mystique.” He just looks out of place in a wrestling ring.
He was struggling quite a bit to tear his shirt off, Hulkster style, before his “brawl” with Jerico. Not a good start….
I disagree. Scores of former champs made some money in pro wrestling after their boxing career ended: Louis, Johnson, Carnera, etc. Not to mention former contenders like Hodge, Wepner, Galento, etc. Tyson has made WWE cash in the past as well.
Doesn’t make sense. How does pro-wrestling “undermine his legacy”? One has nothing to do with the other. True, he HORRIBLE on the mic. Tyson is known for being smaller than his opponent so him being a “dwarf” is nothing new
Told you here first — again.. my own information site will be up and running soon with an exclusive interview – I’ll
Start fielding questions shortly.
Good grief. What’s next? We will see Tyson on a cooking show or a late night infomercial selling hair growth cream? Strange days indeed…
Just slightly cringe.
Looks like easy money for him, so why not? As I recall Trump was a wrestling performer and he ended becoming President in an electoral landslide.
And didn’t the great Tyson Fury partake in some wrestling shenanigans in the past year or so? If he can do it, why shouldn’t Iron Mike make some easy money?
Besides, the way many prominent boxers act, there’s little difference between wrestling and boxing anymore.
A pretend melee. In the old days it would have been a real one.
How original, they’re doing the same thing WWF did in 1996 with the same exactly boxer. Tyson should never talk on a mic. He killed the entire segment lol.
Looks like there’s real beef here? Where did this bad blood stem from?? I’ve gone through Tyson’s record and can’t make out who this guy is ? I’m guessing it’s Andrew Golotta who is now wearing a wig. I don’t recall Golotta being a good talker like this guy. (It’s amazing what some bad blood does). It’s been year brewing. Now we get to see the chance hopefully after all these years – two maniacs in the ring of honour fighting for redemption. That was a rather large melee reminds me of the McGregor attack on the Russia bus or the Kabib attack on Las Vegas crowd when he wet crazy and tried to take out Dan White. Look – if this beef sent Tyson back into training I feel sorry for whoever he will face in the cage of fury.
The Easter bunny is real too.
Louis, Johnson, Galento, Carnera, Tyson….I’m OK with this.
There is nothing wrong with him doing some WWE appearances. He is too old to make a comeback in boxing and he can makes some money in the WWE without getting hurt.
