Big fights this week? Well, the biggest fight on U.S. soil is certainly Friday’s Telemundo clash between unbeaten welterweights “Hurricane” Sammy Valentin Jr. (12-0, 9 KOs) and Giovani Santillan (21-0, 18 KOs) taking place in Tampa.

We have heavyweight Hughie Fury vs. TBA this Saturday in London. Hughie is confirmed to face WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker on Saturday September 23rd at the Manchester Arena.

On Sunday, WBA cruiserweight “super” champion Denis Lebedev defends against Mark Flanagan in Ekaterinburg, Russia. Lebedev appears to be the biggest name in the cruiser division NOT participating in the eight-man World Boxing Super Series. There are still two spots left.
