Didn’t even bother listening, so unless he said I need more work before Tank. It’s all twitter rah Rah. Tagoe shoulda been out after 4 and that was just so folks got their money’s worth. If he sayin he can do ANYTHING against Tank he on DICK DOPE & DYNAMITE!!!
Aside from the clear signs of regression on Garcia’s part, the horrid tattoos he had all over his body belie a complete lack of acuity and a spiritual/emotional imbalance. It’s only a matter of time before he loses. What a shame he did that!
Totally agreed
Ok boomer
Haters bro. Chill let the kid grow and mature don’t knock him for being young and having fun he will grow and own I think in time. Quit hating!!
Tattoos of superstitions are silly too. Like his crucifix!
Cubanitovitch, a very interesting and very accurate point you made. Going into the details at length is a topic for another forum, however, I’m afraid by the looks of things, that he might have.
Garcia is nothing special. It’s a shame he’s made so much undeserved money. Like Cubanitovich said, what a poor choice in artwork to display on his body. A lion on one pec with a crown and another lion on the other pec? Hahah wow, how original!!! He looks like an absolute clown now!! Sure, he won the fight but he looked like an average fighter in the process who couldn’t stop a much smaller man who was handpicked. I’ve said it for years now, he is the weakest link in the entire group of big names in his division. Lomachenko, Haney, Davis, Kambosos and even Lopez all walk through this kid. When is he going to step up and fight some real competition??? Is his “mental health” going to prevent him from fighting big names?
The former champion’s name is Naoko Fujioka. She was the first ever five division champion from Japan.
Fought more like a queen, Queenry…
Queenry just another dope who thinks tats are cool smh
Zzzzzzz
Garcia did exactly what he was supposed to do…after a lengthy layoff
..win….Garcia took a smart return fight ….against someone with enough skills to help Garcia get back into the mix ….get his timing and focus back….maintaining and sharpening his skills …otherwise to take a fight like Berchelt did after a lengthy layoff…well we know the result of that…then we would question Garcia’s skill and choices….
Garcia has average to slightly above average skills…this is prize fighting .not pride fighting..his team is moving Garcia effectively….He won….Garcia should focus on his mental stability, and getting …better cause the division is stacked with competition…
Concerning his tattoos ….or choice thereof…I could careless…I watch Garcia cause I am a boxing fan…as long as his choice of art is not racist…. homophobic….or falling within those lines..could careless…besides..what difference does my opinion about his choice of tattoos make,..did the tattoos improve his jab or defense?…point is could care less….This is America…
apparently all of these guys judging Garcia for his tattoos live a perfect life. Geeee, we all have the right to do what we want with our own bodies and with our lives.
” 19if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light for those who are in the dark, 20an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— 21you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal? 22You who say that people should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law? “
I turn on DAZN and saw Garcia fighting Isaac Dogboa. Clearly Garcia is really gritty now. No longer a pretty boy. You can tell cuz he now has tattoos.
Needs a step up fight before Tank and then let’s make it happen!
He looked even stiffer and more upright than before. Pure power game with that head stock still. Honestly, he looks like a KO waiting to happen but can’t say the ride won’t be entertaining.
In his interview, did Ryan Garcia thank the ref for allowing him his most-damaging punch, which was his repeated hard right hands to the back of the far-smaller but tough Tagoe’s head or neck?
Garcia shouldn’t believe his own publicity.
Layoff be damned…he looked like he managed to forget all of the basics. No jab, unable to cut the ring and throwing one punch at a time. He didn’t even look like a very good prospect in this one let alone a true contender.
I understand that trainer/fighter chemistry takes time and Tagoe basically chose not to engage, but the basics still should have been on display. Joe Goosen certainly wasn’t telling Garcia to try to land one homerun shot. This performance actually reminded me of how bad Lopez looked against Kambosis, except Kambosis came to fight.
Ryan Garcia has a ton of talent, but he’d better take a serious look at this performance and get back to the drawing board.
Don King ought to perhaps organise a catchweight PPV event between Ryan Garcia and Jake Paul!
