WBO super middleweight champion Gilberto Ramirez (38-0, 25 KOs) scored a forgettable twelve round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten WBO #8 rated Roamer Alexis Angulo 23-1, 20 KOs) on Saturday night at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ramirez simply outboxed Angulo in compiling a 119-109, 120-108, 119-109 win. It was Ramirez’ fourth successful title defense.

Zurdo Ramirez: “He was undefeated. He came with a lot of hunger to try to take away my world title. I’m not happy with my performance, but I got the job done. I’m still a world champion. I want to go back to the gym to start training and evolve as a fighter. I want to unify titles and I want to be one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world.”
