The Nevada State Athletic Commission has unanimously approved the clash between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor to be fought with eight-ounce gloves, rather than the ten-ounce mitts normally required for the junior middleweight division and higher. The decision was a one-time exception for this bout only. McGregor normally uses four-ounce gloves in MMA competition.
