Middleweight Chris Eubank Jr. (29-2, 22 KOs) claimed the WBA interim middleweight title when Matt Korobov (28-3-1, 14 KOs) dislocated his left shoulder in round two on Saturday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The bout ended suddenly when Korobov threw a straight left and his shoulder popped out. He tried to keep going but the arm was useless and he had to quit. Time :34.
“He just turned around and stopped,” Eubank said after the fight. “I was going to go jump on him. I guess something happened with his shoulder. There’s nothing to take from the fight. I threw like three or four punches. I was just warming up.”

Geez, Korobov has always been too soft for the pros despite being more skilled than anyone in the division, but now that his body is falling apart he’s going to have to call it a day.
Korobov looked great until the injury. Im a little disappointed. I really wanted to see what Eubank was really made of and his ability to adapt to Korobovs style, cuz he was definitely getting worked from the inside n outside.
I agree, Korobov look good getting into the fight but these things happen. Eubank can go on and face the Jap for the title.
Every fight seems to be for a phony WBA title. 70 plus titles in each division. WBA must be Worlds biggest AZZCLOWNZZ!!!
All this physical training training on strength and technique and nobody ever told him to make sure he drinks his milk. smh. He’s another excellent sure-shot, story-booked amateur that couldn’t quite get going in the pros.
Eubanks is a great Gym-fighter, spetacular on the pads and bag, but is only good against lower class fighters on fight night. The biggest thing in his make up is, he has a great chin just like his dad.
