The fight between junior welterweights Javier Fortuna (35-2-1, 23 KOs) and Adrian Granados (18-6-2, 11 KOs) was stopped with 10 seconds left in round 4, when Fortuna fell out of the ring and hit his head after a possible slight push from Granados. It was ruled an accidental injury and a no decision. Fortuna was immediately rushed out of the arena on a stretcher.

Fortuna had already had two points taken away from him by Referee Robert Chapa for holding and hitting behind the head. Up to that point, it was a rough fight with both guys trying to establish themselves inside. Granados kept coming forward landing an occasional right hand before being tied up while Fortuna tried to counter him with his big left hand. Granados cannot seem to catch up a break as he has lost a handful of controversial decisions.

Hard-hitting welterweight Eminantus Stanions (6-0, 5 KOs) from Lithuania and trained by top trainer Ronnie Shields dropped Erick Marinez (14-13-1, 8 KOs) in the 3rd round and then used a big flurry to cause referee Neal Young to waive it off. Stanions kept his undefeated record intact with the TKO at 1:56 of round 3.

In a back and forth chippy battle, featherweight Stephon Fulton (15-2, 6 KOs) found late power to stop the tough Jesus Ahumada (15-2, 9 KOs) in the 9th round of the scheduled 10. Fulton, trained by Nazim Richardson, was using an effective jab throughout to stay away from the aggressive Ahumada. Ahumada was landing the bigger shots throughout but could not put Fulton away. Finally, in the 9th round, Fulton found a burst of energy and unleashed a flurry on Ahumada and forced referee Neal Young to call a halt. The official time of the stoppage was 1:54 in 9th round. Fulton earned his 15th win with the TKO.

Lightweight Alejandro “Pork Chop” Guerrero (8-0, 7 KOs) trained by Robert Garcia dropped David Fabela (2-1, 2 KOs) out of Fort Worth, Texas twice, at the end of both the first and second rounds. It was widely competitive through the first round, before Guerrero found a home for his left hand with big hooks to the head and body of Fabela. It was the left hand that put Fabela on his backside as the first round ended. The second round was dominated by Guerrero who landed uppercuts and hooks against the game Fabela. As the second round ended, Guerrero put Fabela on the canvas for a send time with a straight right hand. Fablea got to his feet as the round ended, but Referee Robert Chapa called it off. The official time was 10 seconds of the 3rd round as the count went past the sound of the bell.

Junior featherweight Fernando Garcia (9-0, 3 KOs) out of the R&R Boxing Club in Dallas, Texas where world champ Errol Spence Jr. trains wasted little time dismantling Angel Carvajal (2-10) of Mexico. Garcia put Caravel against the ropes with some vicious shots and sent him outside the ring with a combination. Caravel was able to make the count, but as the fight continued, Garcia jumped on him and the bout was quickly stopped. The official time of the TKO was 2:18 of the very first round. Garcia stays undefeated with the victory.

Cruiserweight Adrian Taylor (7-0, 3 KOs) from Dallas and the R&R Boxing Club where he’s a frequent sparring partner of world champ Errol Spence Jr., won a workmanlike six round unanimous decision against Chris Harris (2-4-2, (2 KOs). Taylor came out strong from the opening bell landing his big right hand at will against Harris. Harris hung in there to the final bell but could not put together enough offense against Taylor. All three judges scored it 60-54 for Taylor who remained undefeated with the win.

In the opening bout of the Spence-Ocampo card at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, popular Cuban and 2008 bronze medalist from the Beijing Olympics, welterweight Yordenis Ugas (22-3, 11 KOs) dropped Jonathan Batista (17-14, 10 KOs) twice in the 1st round and twice in the 2nd before referee Neal Young waved it off. Ugas won by an easy TKO as Batista put up no resistance. The time was 1:16 round 2.
