Former four-division champ Nonito Donaire (39-5, 25 KOs) dethroned WBA bantamweight super champion Ryan Burnett (19-1, 9 KOs) by TKO5 on Saturday night at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. In round four, Burnett suffered a back injury and took a knee. He finished the round but couldn’t continue after the break. Donaire will continue to the WBSS bantamweight semi-final against Zolani Tete.
