This is a mismatch. Canelo is going to plant him on his ass.
Speaketh … F.J.B.
Fredrick J. Brandon III.
Plant is no joke. He is very skilled and the natural bigger fighter. He has what it takes to get the win… Canelo is in for a long night come November 6th.
There is such a thing as a live dog-this is not one of them.
Although I expect Canelo to win, I still find this to be an intriguing matchup. Can’t wait for fight time!
I’m not a fan of either of these guys. Is there anyway they can knock each other out? They’re both skilled enough to justify their arrogance, but both have the personality of a dead dogs asshole. I was watching that Showtime All Access show about the fight and the whole time I was trying to decide which one I dislike more. I thinks it’s Canelo.
LMAO! Tell us how you really feel.
I saw a montage of Plant clowning in some of his earlier fights that had me thinking he was a douche, but I’m alright with him now I guess, and Alvarez too I suppose. You’re right though, if these guys are a little arrogant, they’ve earned it, especially Alvarez.
This might not be the greatest comparison, but an over the hill Kovalev was virtually even with Canelo going into the eleventh round of that fight. I believe Plant is at least as good a boxer as SK, is younger, faster, better defensively, and actually a tad taller than Sergey. Sergey was a 175 pounder who still had some power left, but he wasn’t the same puncher he was earlier in his career. Not predicting a Plant victory, but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if he makes Canelo have to sweat out a difficult win here. I’m not seeing a Canelo blowout win at all here.
Plant just makes so many mistakes, the way he puts his head down tying to avoid punches or leaving his body exposed when pulling back, doesn’t throw a lot of straight punches when doing a combination, I see Canelo giving Plant a vicious boxing lesson with Plant’s corner saving him from further punishment in the 8th round, bloodied and confused or maybe just knocked out cold.
That cut is still noticeable under Plant’s eye. That thing almost certainly will be reopened in the fight. Shouldn’t be a factor though because of the location…
If the cut affected his sparring schedule while it healed, that may be more of a factor than it opening in the fight. Would not affect his vision if it does.
