“I knew it was going to happen. It was just a matter of time before I was getting him out of there,” former world champion Kell Brook told Sky Sports. “I’m back on top. I took Amir Khan out…I knew from 18 years old I was a better fighter than him. He had the push and the promoters behind him because he won an Olympic medal.

“They tried to get into my head. They tried to push and poke at me. I even had people knocking at my hotel door at 3 or 4 in the morning, trying to disrupt my sleep.”

As for the future, Brook said “I don’t like Eubank. I could fight Eubank. There’s come big fights out there for me.”

  • Don’t get delusional “Brooksy”, you fought a shell of a fighter that once was and you need to fight someone who is really rated!

    • Now you KNOW why Khan avoided him like the plague. He would get beaten down at any point in their careers, any time Khan WISHED he had the cajoles to step up.

      • Yep, Khan been retired he was waiting til the end to cash out with the big Brook fight. Crawford beat the rest of the fight out Khan, in camp, and he had his worst showing ever.

    • Always a shell of a fighter. This would have always been the outcome. Give him some credit. Brook still only lost to GGG, Spence and Crawford.

  • Good win, but not a great win! Why aren’t you calling out Conor Benn? That would be a nice way to pass the torch

  • Brook vs Benn or Eubank would be good fights and Brook has a good chance of winning them both. I doubt Eubank or Benn would risk losing to Brook.

  • Brook should have a rematch with Porter or fight Garcia or Thurman, these are more winnable fights.
    Forget Eubank and Benn.

    • Porter and garcia will be a good match up.
      Thurman will be too much.
Even pacman had a hard time with thurman. Brook is slow, easy target for thurman.
Brook vs pacman, pacman will win but it will be interesting.

  • A rather easy winner to determine, but I am glad they finally duked it out for England. For now, I doubt if Eubank, Jr. will waste his time fighting Brook because Eubank, Jr. has far bigger opponents to chase/fight.

If Eubank, Jr. does not have success in trying to fight his fellow top contenders, maybe Brook will get a chance to settle his grudge against Eubank, Jr.

  • What was Crawford doing in the crowd, please lord no crawford vs brook 2. Should test ortiz vs brook, see if the eye sockets hold up to Vergils punches

    • He’s “trained” Amir Khan so he’s probably trying to get his fan base up my making a public appearance.

        • Nothing beats a failure but a try. This might sound crazy but Crawford may need to consider Jake Paul’s deal. Say what you will about Jake but the man can sell and Crawford could definitely use the rub of his fan base. If he wants to secure the Spence fight at a rate other than 60/40 he needs to prove that he can sell. At 34, Crawford may have a good 3-4 years left. If he gets out of his own way, I think he can do it.

          • YUP I AGREE WITH YOU… THAT FAN BASE SELLS TICKETS… AFTER ALL IT’S ABOUT FORGET PRIDE… PRIDE AIN’T GOT A THING TO DO WITH IT…. MONEY IS THE KEY…

  • It is cool if Brook fights British and Aussie and European fighters from 154 to 160. He has to train too long to come in to be right at 148.5 lbs. he should stay away from Tom Tszyu and Golovkin again. He’d have to beat 2 top middleweight contenders for Golovkin to think about Brook again.

  • If this fight happens earlier in their career, khan has the advantage in terms of speed and stamina.
But the tide was really in favor of brook due to:
    Long lay off of khan.
Khan is slower and looks easily get tired.
The chin/jaw is really an issue.

    • I disagree, Brook would have sharper too and I think the stronger of the two, he also has a much stronger chin. Khan has been knocked down about 12 times and his defence is weakest when he tries to have a go, that is why he never fought Brook before because he was too dangerous and I think that is the real truth.

  • If Brook don`t get the fight with Benn, he should retire. Eubanks is too big ,strong and has too much of a sturdy chin for Brook at this stage. Brook and his “motor mouth” trainer are getting carried away with what happened last week. Most top ten welters and even a few top jr. welters would have knocked Khan out last week. Title fights are 12 rounds, Brook started well against Bud and Spence, but after a few rounds they had worked him out . You would have to be British to think he would have beaten those 2.
