Beltran, Dogboe poised for first defenses

World champions Ray Beltran and Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe will head to the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on Saturday for their first title defenses in the biggest fights of the coming week.

In the main event, Beltran (35-7-1, 21 KOs), who resides in nearby Phoenix, will defend the WBO lightweight title against WBO #2 Jose “Sniper” Pedraza (24-1, 12 KOs), a former junior lightweight world champion looking to bring another world title home to Puerto Rico. And, in the co-feature, Dogboe (19-0, 13 KOs) will defend the WBO junior featherweight title against WBO #6 Hidenori Otake (31-2-3, 14 KOs).

Beltran is an ever so slight -125 favorite to get past Pedraza, while Dogboe is a whopping 33:1 to handle Otake. Both bouts will air live on ESPN in the USA.
