Baranchyk tops Smith in battle of unbeatens

In a clash of undefeated super lightweights, local favorite Ivan Baranchyk (15-0, 10 KOs) hammered out an eight round unanimous decision over Philadelphian Keenan Smith (11-1, 5 KOs) on Friday night at Buffalo Run Casino & Resort in Miami, Oklahoma. Baranchyk’s power made the difference. Scores were 80-71, 79-72, 78-73. Smith was deducted a point for holding in round five.

World-ranked middleweight Antoine Douglas (22-1-1, 16 KOs) scored a fourth round KO over late-replacement Juan De Angel (20-7, 18 KOs) in a bout for the NABA and WBC FECARBOX belts. Douglas finished De Angel with a body shot.

2016 United States Olympian Charles Conwell (4-0, 4 KOs), and his half-brother Isaiah Steen (9-0, 7 KOs) both scored KO wins. Jr middleweight Conwell stopped Rick Graham in two rounds, while Steen halted Travis Nero in one. Super lightweight Roland Chinea (15-1-1, 6 KOs) edged previously undefeated Kenneth Sims Jr. (12-1, 4 KOs) via an eight round majority decision. Scores were 76-76, 77-75, 77-75.

Super bantamweights Glenn Dezurn (9-0-1, 6 KOs) and Adam Lopez (16-1-2, 8 KOs) battled to an eight round draw. Scores were 77-75 Lopez. 77-75 Dezurn, 76-76.

Bantamweight Joshua Greer (14-1-1, 6 KOs) was victorious when the corner of Leroy Davila (5-2, 3 KOs) stopped the fight after five rounds. Greer battered Davila the last two rounds.
